Ecommunity

Bulletin Board

Virtually everyone belongs to some sort of group. For instance, your daughter's fourth grade class at school is one of the groups she belongs to. Her soccer team is another. Among the many groups you belong to may be the group of parents of the kids in her class and the group of parents of the kids on her team- plus teacher & coach.

What makes a group is a shared interest- maybe even a passion. If you're passionate about, say, gospel music, you are a member of the group of people who love gospel.

Most group members want and need to communicate with each other. That's the purpose of OPI's E-Community. It's a web based 24/7 forum, email address book, calendar, newsletter- you name it. And its low monthly fee is affordable for any group.

Gospelgigs.com

Gospelgigs.com is a wildly succesful Ecommunity site where fans drop by, listen to songs, browse groups, keep up with news, and sign up to get email notification of upcoming events in their area. Groups promote gigs, upload images, songs, and write about their inspirations.

The Bulletin Board is the community's open forum (see screenshot A, above). Here group members post announcements, ask questions, make suggestions- it's the place for all group-wide open communication. The main forum may be divided into sub-forums by subject matter.

E-Community's Events schedule (see screenshot B, above) is used heavily by groups formed around some common interest, such as a type of music (performance schedule), a political cause (lecture, meeting schedule)- anything defined by date, time and location.

The Photo Gallery is all about pictures (see screenshot C, left). All group members can easily post to and view one or more galleries organized according to themes or personal collections.

E-Community's Email center (see screenshot D, Right) enables any group member or a designated administrator to 'blast' emails to the entire group, or to sub-groups of people who have opted-in to recieve email about a particular subject. It's easy to drop pictures into emails and to format text (italic, bold, etc.) any way you want.

E-Community makes it strikingly simple to manage the community website's content. Depending on the size and nature of the group, any member or a designated administrator can quickly and easily edit/add/delete text and photos, or even whole pages or site sub-sections. No technical know how is required.
